Stop rationing automation.
A generic project tool
- The board says To Do, In Progress, Done, and will not bend.
- Automation comes as a pool of runs each month.
- When it runs out, the flows stop until the calendar resets.
- You ration automation to the busiest week, when you need it most.
Airtask
- Custom statuses, transitions and review steps per project.
- No monthly cap on automation runs, on Pro.
- Email alerts from assigned through overdue, chosen by role.
- Up to 8 custom fields per project.
Your statuses
Make the board match your work.
Add the statuses your team actually uses, for example Review and Blocked, per project. The board bends to the work, not the other way round.
Your moves
Set which transitions are allowed.
Decide which moves are allowed and where review happens, so work only advances the way you intend.
The alerts
An email before work goes overdue.
Choose who gets an email for each task event, from assigned through due date approaching and exceeded, by role. Email Notifications are on every plan.
Assign by role
New work lands on the right people.
Auto-assign is role-based and on every plan. Give a role the Auto-assignee or Auto-reviewer label and turn it on, and every new task goes to the people holding that role, reviewers included. It is never round-robin or by workload.

FAQs
Questions, answered.
Straight answers on plans, statuses and auto-assign.
Which plan includes Workflow Automation?
Pro and up. Custom Fields and Status come with Pro too.
Can each project have its own statuses?
Yes. Define the statuses and the allowed transitions per project.
Do email notifications need Pro?
No. Email Notifications are on every plan. Workflow Automation and custom statuses are the Pro part.
Can tasks be assigned automatically?
Yes, on every plan, by role. Give a role the Auto-assignee label and turn on auto-assign, and every new task goes to the people holding that role, with the Auto-reviewer role added as reviewers.
Is auto-assign round-robin or by workload?
No. It is role-based. Everyone holding the role is added to each new task. Turn it off and nothing is assigned automatically.
Is there a monthly limit on automation runs?
No. On Pro, your rules run as often as your work needs, with no monthly cap.
